Entertainment: Haunt Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Exemplify Cedar Fair’s Cornerstones of Safety, Courtesy, Service, Cleanliness and Integrity.
- Provide guest service according to Great America’s standards.
- Adhere to and enforce Great America’s costuming and grooming standards.
- Adhere to and enforce all Great America Rules of Conduct.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in assigned work area.
- Follow and enforce all standards of performance for Haunt Talent/Blackout.
- Handle routine guest concerns, taking appropriate corrective actions according to established policies.
- Handle any special or unusual guest requests for service.
- Perform all essential job functions of Talent/Blackout Supervisor.
- Accurately complete simple forms, reports and departmental paper work
- Report to Management all employees that do not adhere to department, division, or Company policy.
- Report all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision, initiating calls to maintenance as appropriate.
- Ensure your assigned attraction(s) are prepared to open as scheduled.
- Ensure your assigned attraction(s) are properly closed at the end of the operating day
- Create rest and meal period scheduled for employees, and ensure that employees receive rest and meal periods according to Park policies.
- Direct assigned staff and maintain standards, methods, and procedures set by Great America.
- Ensure each member of the staff, through coaching and counseling employees meets all service and job performance standards.
- Motivate all subordinates to achieve optimum job performance through positive reinforcement and personal example.
- Conducts continuous on the job-training for Talent/Blackout.
- Counsel personnel as necessary utilizing Great America’s disciplinary guidelines.
- Communicate with supervision regarding status of employees, events, guest complaints, losses, and any unusual situation in order to maintain smooth operations.
- Monitor staffing level, recognizing opportunities to reduce labor costs.
- Promote the team work concept with staff and maintain a good working relationship with other departments.
- Implement and enforce established safety, security, and loss prevention policies and procedures to ensure guests, employees and Company assets are safe.
- Ensure Safety/First Aid reports are completed and returned to Supervision within the deadline.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to take direction. Must be able to work evenings and ALL operating days of Haunt
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal reference, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
