The Position
We have an immediate opening for a Foster Care Supervisor that will be directly responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the foster care office and all services provided to children and families, including day-to-day management of Foster Care Specialists. This person is responsible for selection and delivery of the highest possible quality program and services, establishment of standards and youth acceptance criteria, and oversight of all referral activities. This is a full-time position that requires flexible hours that will include evenings and weekends, availability on-call 24/7 for crisis response and/or emergency placements, and consultation of staff in after-hours emergencies. Travel is required. This individual may serve as a full-time Foster Care Specialist in the absence of an available staff. This individual must have a heart for serving the Lord and compassion for the youth in our care. Typical responsibilities include:
• Lead, manage, and hold accountable Foster Care Support staff
• Oversee placement activities for designated service area
• Manage Foster Care Support, including on-call support needs
• Ensure processes, fidelity of operations and program for service area, and trainings
• Protect safety, well-being, and permanency of clients served
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree in human services-related, psychology, or other related field and
2. Two years leadership experience or
3. Five years of experience in foster care or
4. Any equivalent combination of education and experience provided the job holder is able to demonstrate current competencies applicable to job position.
You must have a valid driver’s license, own auto liability insurance and a good driving record. Background checks, reference checks and drug screen will be conducted. Must be spiritually mature, having demonstrated commitment to stable spiritual practices and ongoing personal development. Successful candidates are excellent with phone contact, tenacious, computer-savvy and organized, and will fulfill the above responsibilities with patience, kindness, determination, and responsiveness.
