Position Opening: Records Clerk/Confidential Secretary

SALARY: Range $3,492 - $4,245

DUTIES: Under the general supervision of the City Administrator/Mayor, the Records Clerk/Confidential
Secretary performs a variety of clerical related duties such as records management, secretary support and
appointment scheduling, provide back-up assistance to the front office staff, and perform the duties of the Civil Service Commission Secretary.

1. High School Diploma or equivalent; AND
2. Washington State Driver's License; AND
3. Five years of clerical experience in a fast paced office environment (Experience with BIAS
Software preferred)
4. Experience with Microsoft Office Software
5. Familiarity with BARS (Washington State Budgeting, Accounting and Reporting System)

Incumbent must be able to work in a confidential capacity, have previous experience with personal computers, type50 wpm, ten key by touch, and cashiering experience.

Knowledge of clerical practices and procedures; Skill & experience in routine office practices – specifically
computers and ten key calculators; Ability to make decision on an independent basis; Ability to communicate &
maintain effective working relationships with the pubic and employees; ability to organize and prioritize tasks while
meeting deadlines.
