Full-time position available with KCMO’s Public Works Department., Transit Operations Division, 414 E. 12th St. Will be filled as an Engineer Division Head, Area Superintendent, or Senior Analyst.Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; flexible work schedule with on-call hours.Under broad supervision of the Associate Director of Multi-modal Transportation, the Streetcar Program Manager provides direction and management to professional staff in the administration of the rail transit program. Serves as the Owner’s Represent in the oversight of the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of the streetcar system, vehicles and appurtenances. Responsible for the design, planning, construction, and oversight to ensure that City owned assets are maintained and operated in compliance with the manufacturer’s specifications, industry standards and regulations of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Federal Rail Administration (FRA), Transportation Safety Administration (TSA), MODOT State Safety Oversight (MODOT SSO), and other regulatory and government agencies. Coordinates with City departments, Kansas City Streetcar Authority (KCSA), Operations and Maintenance Contractor (OMC), community stakeholders, contractors and others engaged in the delivery of rail transit services to the travelling public. Engineer Division Head REQUIRES 6 years’ progressively responsible experience as a Registered Engineer. Must be registered as a professional architect/engineer with the Missouri State Board for Professional Architects, Engineers and Land Surveyors within 6 months of hire. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen as prescribed by the City. Area Superintendent REQUIRES high school graduation and 5 years’ experience of a progressively responsible nature in the construction or maintenance of public works programs, including 1 year at the level of the City's General Supervisor; OR an accredited Associate’s degree in engineering or a related field, and 3 years engineering of public works maintenance and construction work of a progressively responsible nature, including 1 year at the level of the City's General Supervisor. Senior Analyst REQUIRES an accredited Master's degree in public or business administration, urban or regional planning, economics, accounting, finance or a related field and 3 years of professional experience of a progressively responsible nature in public or business administration, corporate or municipal finance, budget, research, accounting or a related field, including 2 years of experience at the City's Analyst level; OR an accredited Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, urban or regional planning, economics, accounting, finance or a related field and 5 years of professional experience in public or business administration, corporate or municipal finance, budget, research, accounting or a related field, including 2 years of experience at the City's Analyst level.Salary Range: Engineer Division Head = $5,719-$10,160/month; Area Superintendent = $4,230-$7,459/month; Senior Analyst = $4,945-$8,746/month.
