Responsibilities and Duties for Service Technicians:
- Discuss work to be performed including future repair requirements with customers and/or Service Advisor
- Test-drive vehicles, test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Perform quality inspections of vehicle repairs prior to returning the vehicle to the customer
- Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
- Execute repairs to manufacturer specifications
Detail Technician
Responsibilities and Duties for Detail Technicians:
- Closely inspect vehicles for external and internal damage
- Efficiently steam clean engines with steam cleaner
- Shampoo the carpets and seats of vehicles
- Clean glass on entire vehicle by utilizing window cleaners, and razor blades when necessary
- Perform vehicle undercoating in a safe and efficient manner
- Apply and buff wax to vehicle exterior by utilizing appropriate tools, materials, and equipment
- Apply spray on fabric protection to vehicle seats
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Some detail experience preferred
- Must be detail oriented and able to work well with others
- Must possess knowledge of auto detail equipment
Service Advisor
Responsibilities and Duties for Service Advisors:
- Greeting customers promptly
- Obtaining customer and vehicle information
- Clearly reporting all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
- Determining and recommending needed maintenance based on age, mileage and history of vehicle
- Preparing a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
- Monitoring the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and updating customers frequently
- Opening Repair Order (RO), by hand writing and/or inputting information and necessary details in computer
- Verifying that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
- Explaining all completed work and charges to customers
- Completing an occasional road test on a completed vehicle if requested by management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven record of achieving exceptional Customer Satisfaction
- Past experience as a Service Advisor, Assistant Manager or Service Consultant is a must
- CDK computer experience a plus
- Excellent customer service skills required
