Early Warning Intervention Specialist
Puget Sound Educational Service District (PSESD) is seeking an Early Warning Intervention Specialist to provide evidence-based interventions according to identified early warning indicators to promote the successful completion of a high school diploma or equivalent. The Early Warning Intervention Specialist will assist in the development, implementation and training of stakeholders in early warning intervention systems including related policies and tiered evidence-based practices at schools, Community Truancy Boards, Student Assistance Teams, etc. The Early Warning Intervention Specialist will also conduct home visits, educational support groups, parent meetings, and parent nights to assist students and their families with effective intervention supports.
PSESD is one of nine regional educational agencies serving school districts, charter schools and state-approved private schools in Washington. Educational Service Districts, created by the legislature, are an essential regional delivery system for early learning and K-12 services in the state. Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Education, Social Services, or other job-related field (AA/AAS degree and progressively responsible job-related experience may substitute for BA/BS degree)
- Job-related experience providing school-based interventions using early warning indicators (attendance and behavior)
Preferred Qualifications
(Cover letter or resume should specifically address any experience meeting the preferred qualifications)
- Experience gathering data for assessments/evaluations involving students
- Experience working with adolescents
- Experience providing family supports
Position work is based in Tacoma (home office in Puyallup). This is a school schedule position up to 40 hours/week for approximately 185 days/year (~1480 hours per year). Approximate hourly 23.47 - $27.22/hourly. Candidate offers consider experience, qualifications and internal equity.
