RDS Family Services in Mifflin County is currently accepting applications from enthusiastic individuals with a desire to help children and families in their community. Staff works independently in the homes of families receiving services from the child welfare system. Positions all require strong interpersonal skills and a human services background; experience working with children and youth is a plus. All positions require that staff be motivated to assist families in crisis. Staff works independently in the homes of families receiving services from the child welfare system. Staff must be available to work evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the families on their caseloads. Ability to complete paperwork in a timely manner and general computer skills are necessary. Staff is required to maintain professionalism at all times.
Parenting Specialist - This position will work in the homes of clients teaching parenting techniques, utilizing evidence based curriculum. Position requires some post-secondary education, and experience working with families.
This is a 40 hour work week with flexible schedule scheduling as needed.
The salary range is between $12.00-$16.00 per hour depending on experience.
Family Group Decision Making Coordinator - This person must be able to coordinate and facilitate meetings between families, professionals, and court staff. Person must be comfortable with public speaking and very organized. Position requires a bachelor's degree in a human services related field.
The hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 am-4:30 pm.
Salary is between $14.50-$16.00 per hour depending upon experience.
Family Reunification Caseworker - This position provides intensive in-home services to families in crisis. Bachelor's Degree required. Knowledge of Child Welfare practices helpful. Home visiting experience preferred. The selected individual must be self-motivated. Must be available evenings and weekends.
This is a full-time 40 hour work week with flexible non-traditional hours as needed.
Salary range is $14.50-$16.00 per hour, depending upon experience.
Full-time positions are eligible for benefits after 90 days of employment and include: health, dental, vision, life insurances and paid vacation, sick, and personal time.
