Starting wage: $15.76 to $17.64 per hour DOQ
This is a .5 FTE position (20 hours per week)
Position Summary: The Data Entry/Program Support position for the Native Women’s Wellness Program (NWWP) is responsible for data entry of screening and tracking forms and related program support. The position ensures proper billing methods, fee schedules, and follow up treatment guidelines are adhered to within the guidelines of the program. NWWP is an intertribal project primarily funded by a Center for Disease Control (CDC) 5-year Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection grant. The position is located at the Intertribal Professional Center on the Squaxin Island Reservation near Shelton, WA.
Responsibilities:
· Facilitate the timely, accurate, and complete reporting of patient data to the program tracking system; review aggregate data monthly to monitor the achievement of program objectives.
· Assist the tribal-based clinic staff in appropriate client support as needed including follow up treatment guidelines and providing information about cancer support resources.
· Attend program related meetings as needed.
· Respond to inquiries and invoices from outside provider referrals to get all the necessary information to process payment.
· Send providers or outreach workers monthly reports of women due for their annual exam or mammogram.
· Set up and maintain patient files in accordance with HIPPA and any other applicable laws.
· Provides administrative support within the Native Women’s Wellness Program and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
· Associate’s Degree or
· High School Diploma/GED with minimum of two (2) years’ work experience social/human services or general business (data entry, billing, fee schedules) or
· Comparable combination of education, training, and professional work experiences.
· Experience in data entry collection and reporting preferred.
· Strong computer skills with at least three years of experience using computer software programs.
· Ability to work cross-culturally with Native American individuals and communities.
· Knowledge of rural health and social services issues and programs preferred.
· Ability to travel throughout SPIPA consortium tribal areas and to attend meetings and other events.
· Must pass a background investigation including relevant criminal history, and a pre-employment drug test.
· Valid driver’s license.
Physical Abilities: Bending at the waist; sitting for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard; hearing and speaking to exchange information; seeing to read reports and data; lifting medium objects generally less than 20 pounds. Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Occasional travel required to consortium tribe locations and to selected conferences and trainings.
Salary/Fringe Benefits: $15.76 to $17.64 per hour depending on qualifications (based on 20 hours weekly). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance and agency contribution to a retirement program.
