Position Summary
Primary Functions: Directly accountable for the accounts payable function of the assigned processes for the Company. Responsible for quality, accuracy, timeliness and organization of all information reported.
Key Responsibilities:
- Matches purchase orders with vendor invoices to assure accuracy and prepare for computer entry.
- Process manual entry for auto draft payments.
- Prepares all accounts payable checks and EFT’s according to company procedures.
- Mails accounts payable checks with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies.
- Researches and responds to all vendor inquiries in a prompt manner.
- Communicates efficiently and timely to all requests.
- Maintains all accounts payable files to include filing invoices in designated areas and updating vendor information on the computer.
- Sorts and distributes incoming mail from all the restaurant brands we support.
- Team player and willing to assist with other projects as needed.
- Provides back up to others in department when necessary.
- Assist with switchboard relief.
Educational / Experience Education/Certification:
- High school diploma required
Experience Required:
- Two or more years of experience in the Accounting industry
- Experience with Great Plains accounting package preferable
Skills/Abilities:
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Good work ethic
- Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting.
- Strong organizational skills
