Drafting/CAD Instructor
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Jackson is accepting applications for the position of Drafting/CAD Instructor.
MIMINUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a high school graduate with a diploma from a technical institution or a two year college degree. Must have a minimum of five (5) years of approved experience in the Drafting/CAD occupational field beyond entry level. Teaching experience preferred.
GENEAL DUTIES: Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices to teach effectively basic and advanced Structural Steel, Architectural, Mechanical, and Civil Drafting, Computer Aided Drafting and Design using AutoCAD, SDS/2, SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit and 3D printing and software. Maintain program accreditation through American Drafting and Design Association. Work in liaison with the program’s advisory committee from industry and affiliated programs relative to instruction.
All candidates will take a proficiency test using Autodesk software. The ideal instructor will demonstrate knowledge and skill set of both academically and through industry and/or teaching experience with Drafting CAD/CADD pathway.
Ability to deal tactfully with the student, public and co-workers; to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions, to express ideas clearly, concisely, and convincingly, and to plan and direct the work of others; as evidenced by an interview with the appointing authority.
SALARY: Commensurate with education, experience, and TBR salary guidelines.
