Job Summary:
The Digital Operations Lead is responsible for all pre- and post-sale activities including scheduling, trafficking, optimizing and reporting of digital ad campaigns. This position manages direct relationships with all product and service vendors and serves as a critical partner to sales reps.
Salary: $48k-$52K
Responsibilities and Duties:
Fulfillment and Campaign Management
- Manage post-sale and fulfillment process, including optimization and retention of new/existing digital accounts
- Oversee the scheduling, trafficking, confirmation, and reporting of online campaigns
- Monitor performance and pacing of campaigns
- Regularly review campaigns and associated analytics to identify optimization opportunities
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly campaign performance reviews
- Communicate promotion opportunities to clients to increase revenue
- Monitor and manage department compliance specific to product requirements, processes and billing
Business Management
- In partnership with finance, complete monthly digital audit and reconcile issues
- Manage all product rates, floor requirements, and setup of rates within required systems
- Serve as primary market contact with third-party vendors, fully understanding their product offerings, communicating changes/new opportunities to team, resolving issues and managing workflows
- Develop and maintain all documentation and collateral related to process and implementation surrounding products
- Evaluate overall systems, tools, and processes in place to ensure ongoing efficiency in support of sales, products, and programs
- Develop and improve back-end processes and procedures as needed. Conduct formal and informal training to keep staff on top of the digital channel and associated solutions and services
- Oversee market training schedule to ensure maximum knowledge increase with minimal time out of field
- Collaborate and communicate any changes that might impact other teams and/or campaigns
- Coach direct reports to success. Inspire and motivate team and effectively communicate overall vision and values
- Maintain ethical relationships with advertising clients; adheres to McClatchy's Code of Conduct
Non-Essential Functions:
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned
- Generate reports as needed/requested
- Attends webinars and additional training opportunities to continue to increase knowledge
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervision and performance management of digital trafficking, fulfillment and digital production staff

- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with personal computers, the Internet, database applications, and the Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of web technologies, Google Analytics, and digital ad serving/trafficking
- Skilled at influencing for success through education and trust building
- Able to communicate effectively ensuring a clear understanding of expectations (enable, explain, support)
- Must be able to work effectively with others and communicate in a positive manner
- Strong customer service skills with attention to detail
- Able to work under conditions where aggressive deadline pressures are essential

- Deep understanding of SEM, SEO, Social, Mobile, Programmatic and content marketing
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and display strong problem-solving abilities

- Able to learn new computer/web-based/3 rd party programs and tools
Qualifications:
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s Degree plus two years of sales, digital product or related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Advertising or related field preferred
- Sales or marketing experience is preferred, ideally in advertising sales
