Associate Dean for Health Professions: responsible for the oversight and administrative leadership of Whatcom Community College's (WCC's) allied health professions programs and for strong collaboration and linkages with its nursing program (which has a designated director). WCC currently offers health professions programs in chemical dependency professional, massage therapist, medical assisting, nursing, and physical therapist assistant. This position will oversee WCC allied health professions programs and curriculum; supervise program coordinators, faculty, support and grants staff; lead the development and implementation of WCC-specific and state-wide collaborative health education projects including grant projects; and partner with the Area Health Education Center for Western Washington (AHEC WW--based at Whatcom Community College) on collaborative programming and projects. Instruction Classroom & Support Tech 3 (Physics): This position coordinates instructional support activities in a basic or applied science teaching program and support services for a variety of introductory physics, physical science, and some support for astronomy and geology courses. The physics program is dedicated to supporting students with all backgrounds, interests or needs, with diverse interests in the liberal arts, science majors, engineering and computer science. All courses include hands-on non-traditional laboratory work. A strong interest in work within a higher education environment is essential, as this person supports both the faculty and the students in laboratory activities. This individual is primarily responsible for maintaining equipment, reordering, organizing the storage and flow of equipment for the daily operation of the physics program.
