This is a regular full-time position for Qualified Mental Health Associate to work on-site as part of an interdisciplinary team in the Enhanced Residential & Outreach Program in McMinnville supporting individuals with serious & persistent mental illness and co-occurring medical conditions who experience serious psychiatric symptoms and exhibit complex behaviors. This is a supportive work environment and a great program for learning and gaining skills in behavioral health. Responsibilities include implementation of individual service & support plans and behavioral support strategies, facilitation of group activities (socialization, skills training, recreation, physical health and fitness, and spiritual expression), and providing individual services & skills training (including assistance with money management, establishing positive community contacts, nutritional education, and safety awareness) and documentation of services provided. The work schedule for this position will include some evening and weekend shifts.
The successful candidate will be dependable, organized, self-directed, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to work in a team environment and to interact with co-workers, clients, and the public in a courteous, professional manner, and with an understanding of mental health assessment/service terminology and the ability to apply the concepts. This QMHA must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organization and time management skills.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a human services related field and or a combination of one year of work/relevant experience with two years’ post high school education, or a high school diploma and at least three years’ relevant work experience. A valid license to drive in Oregon is required in addition to a good driving record. This position is subject to the successful completion of a background check. Salary: $3047-$3525/month anticipated at hire, DOE. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, health savings, paid leaves, paid holidays, PERS and deferred compensation options.
